About GLP-1 Navigator
GLP-1 Navigator is an independent consumer information site about GLP-1 receptor agonist medications β Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound, Trulicity, Victoza and Saxenda β and about the practical side of taking them, particularly nutrition.
It exists because the information people most need when starting one of these medications is scattered across prescribing documents, clinical papers and forum anecdotes. We gather the well-established parts into plain language, in one place, with the sources shown.
Who publishes this site
GLP-1 Navigator is published by M4Quick Studios LLC, an independent digital studio. It is not operated by, funded by, or affiliated with any pharmaceutical manufacturer, telehealth provider, compounding pharmacy or weight-loss programme. We do not sell medications, supplements, subscriptions or consultations.
What we are β and what we are not
We think you are owed a direct answer about this rather than a vague claim of expertise, so:
- Our nutrition content is reviewed by a dietitian on our staff. That covers the nutrition guide, the everyday protein-foods guide and the protein calculator β dietary guidance is a dietitian's field, and those pages carry a green banner saying so.
- Our medication content is not reviewed by a clinician. We employ no doctor, nurse or pharmacist. Drug dosing, contraindications and side effects are a physician's field, not a dietitian's, so we do not ask our dietitian to sign off on them and we do not pretend someone else has. Those pages carry an amber banner saying exactly that.
- We will not blanket-badge the site. It would be easy to stamp "medically reviewed" on every page. We do not, because it would not be true of the medication pages, and a false badge on drug information is worse than no badge at all. The split is the honest version, and it is why the green banner means something where it appears.
- We do not give individual advice. We cannot tell you which medication to take, what dose is right, or whether a symptom you are having is serious. Those questions need someone who can see your medical history.
- What we do is read the authoritative public sources carefully, summarise what they consistently say, show you where it came from, and be explicit when something is uncertain or varies by individual.
The short version
Use this site to arrive at your appointment better informed and with better questions. Do not use it instead of the appointment.
Our editorial policy
Every page of health content on this site follows the same rules:
- Sources are public and authoritative. We work primarily from FDA-approved prescribing information and safety communications, NIH and NIDDK material, CDC guidance, MedlinePlus, the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, and published peer-reviewed clinical trial results. Each content page lists its sources at the bottom.
- We cite rather than assert. Where a figure appears β an average weight loss, a dose range, an approval year β it comes from labeling or published trial data, not from our impression of it.
- Trial numbers are labelled as group averages. Averages from a controlled trial with structured diet and activity support are not a promise about any individual, and we say so where we quote them.
- Safety information is not softened. Where a medication carries a boxed warning or a contraindication, we state it plainly, even though it makes for less appealing reading.
- Pages carry a review date and a review status. Each content page shows when it was last reviewed, and a banner at the top states whether a dietitian reviewed it or whether it had no human clinical review at all. This field is guidance, not medical currency β always check the FDA label for the definitive, current information about your medication.
- Nutrition review is scoped. Our dietitian reviews dietary guidance β protein targets, food choices, side-effect eating strategies and the calculator's assumptions. They do not review, and are not represented as reviewing, drug dosing or safety information.
- We correct errors. If you find something wrong, tell us and we will fix it and note the change.
How this site is funded
Transparency about money matters as much as transparency about credentials:
- Advertising. This site displays third-party ads. Advertisers have no input into our content and no advance sight of it.
- Affiliate links. Some links to products β protein foods and supplements, for instance β are Amazon affiliate links, and we may earn a small commission if you buy through one, at no additional cost to you. These appear only where the product is genuinely relevant, and a commission never determines what we recommend or how we describe any medication.
- No pharmaceutical funding. We accept no money, product or sponsored content from drug manufacturers or their agencies.
Our tools
The protein calculator applies published protein-intake ranges to the figures you enter. It runs entirely in your browser β your weight, height and other inputs are never transmitted to us or stored anywhere. It produces a general starting estimate, not a personalised nutrition prescription, and it cannot account for kidney disease, liver disease or other conditions that change protein needs.
Contact and corrections
Questions, corrections and feedback are genuinely welcome β particularly corrections. See our contact page.
